Christopher M. L. Reese was 30 years old when his life was taken in the line of duty. On February 22, 2025, the Virginia Beach Police Department lost Police Officer Reese to gunfire while he was conducting a traffic stop. The loss is both intimate and enormous: one person gone, one badge left behind, and a community forced to confront how quickly an ordinary act of public service can become irreversible.
